Shaving Foam Technique – September card class

By | September 22, 2016

Hi there

This month I’ve taught the Shaving Foam Technique at my card classes.  It’s a great technique and heaps of fun to do.  Just make sure you have paper towels handy as you do get it bit messy – part of the fun.

This sample uses four ink colours – Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake.  If you’ve never done this technique before head to the supermarket and buy some shaving foam.  There’s heaps of video tutorials around to explain how to do it.  I used some brown paper instead of a plate – much easier to just fold the paper up and through it away 🙂

These samples all use the same colours – Tempting Turquoise, Marina Mist and Pool Party.

You also need to have a toothpick or bamboo skewer so that you can create your pattern.  Each time you do this technique you will get a completely different look – your cards will be ‘one of a kind’.

In addition I used:   a number of thinlits – Swirly Scribbles, Wonderful Wreath, Layering Ovals, Sunshine Wishes and Hello You and a few stamp sets –  Wondrous Wreath, Merry Mice, Endless Birthday Wishes and Sunshine Sayings.
