Wreath Card using your Stamparatus

By | August 14, 2018

Hi there

The Stamparatus is our new stamp positioning tool – it’s great for lining stamps up so you get them straight every time but you can also use it to create a ‘wreath’ style card.  Today I have three samples to share with you using this technique.  If you haven’t purchased a Stamparatus yet and would like to have a ‘play’ with one before you buy it give me a call and I can show you some of the great features this tool has to offer.

The stamp set that I’ve used for the first two cards is Pick A Pennant.  I stamped the outline in Memento Black then the solid image in Highland Heather and the leaf in Granny Apple Green (a new favourite).  The ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment is from the Beautiful Bouquet set.

The background is embossed using the new Subtles Embossing Folder.  The ribbon started out as Whisper White satin with silver metallic edge but after being introduced to our Stampin’ Blends became Highland Heather Satin ribbon with silver metallic edge 🙂

This card uses the Basket Weave Embossing Folder which gives a real 3D effect.  I’ve kept the wreath on the square and then matted it with a Blackberry Bliss scallop square.

The last card was created with a bigger square and then trimmed down with the circle framelit.  The images are from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.  I used our new colour coach for the colour theme – Highland Heather, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Blackberry Bliss, Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party.

I also used some of the ‘Highland Heather’ satin ribbon.  If you are wanting to create your own coordinating ribbon make sure you add Whisper White Satin and some Stampin’ Blends to your next order.

I’ll try and create a photo tutorial to show you how I made the template to create these cards.

What size square did you start with on the card wuth basket weave? Also did you make a wreath template first? All these are beautiful cards!

The square that the image is stamped on is the largest square framelit – just over 7cm. Yes I did make a template using the largest square framelit as my cutting square. I hope to make up a tutorial on how I made the template. Thank you – I was really pleased with the cards. Highland Heather is favourite new colour for me.
