There’s something satisfying about taking a beautiful black-and-white design and bringing it to life with colour — and that’s exactly what we did with the gorgeous Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper for our Make & Takes at OnStage Sydney in March.

These cards reminder us that Designer Series Paper can be so much more than just a background layer. By colouring directly onto the DSP with Stampin’ Blends or Watercolour Pencils, the floral images become completely transformed, and each card ends up looking hand-painted and unique.

I love how versatile this DSP is – great on it’s own, colouring the image or the background. It’s a fantastic way to personalise your Designer Series Paper and coordinate it with your favourite colour palette. If you enjoy colouring, this is definitely a technique worth trying with your patterned papers.

Until next time …
