JAI #101

By | January 24, 2012

Hi there

Well it’s been a lovely day here in Auckland – I even managed to fit in a walk at lunchtime :).  It’s so lovely to see the sun and feel the warmth.

Last month I finally got round to buying the scallop square die and now I can use it in this weeks layout at Just Add Ink– I’m a sucker for dies!

I have used Melon Mambo Embossing Powder for my image and then sponged the background in Bashful Blue to create a sky.  I wasn’t really into Melon Mambo (not being a pink girl) but the more I use it the more I like it!  I haven’t put a greeting on the card as I’m not sure what I’ll use it for.
Supplies:
Stamp – Upsy Daisy
Card Stock – Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
DSP – Cheerful Treat
Other – Scallop Square Die, 2 3/4″ Circle, 3″ Circle, Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals
Well I’d better get on and finish my tutorial for the next session of Stampin Fun and Friends.  If you’d like to join us click here to join.  The session starts on 1st February.

I too am a sucker for Big Shot dies, but I don't have the square scallop yet…might have to rectify that. Thanks for playing with our sketch at JAI this week.

Having a 6 year old girl I have found myself using heaps!! of Melon Mambo and its wonderful to see how you used it with Upsy Daisy, makes a gorgeous focal image for your lovely card. Thanks for playing at Just Add Ink.

Lovely card – I've felt the same about Melon Mambo…..first I thought it was a bit bright. But I've actually used it quite a bit. Thanks for playing with Just Add Ink. Chantell
