Hi there
Day three of swaps has projects from Narelle, Ria, Rosie and Sharon
Hi there
Running a bit behind tonight with my posting – I’ve been busy prepping for the Tauranga Extravaganza this weekend that I’m teaching at.
This is the swap I did for our camp the other week. I wanting something other than a card and not with chocolate! – I know – what’s wrong with me. So I decided to make a cover for the small packets of tissues you get. I always have a pack of these in my handbag.
This is the one that made it into my bag.
Hi there
Well we’ve certainly had all seasons in a day here in Auckland. This morning on my way to work it showed that is was 4 degreesC which is really cold for this time of year. Then we had a huge downpour and then by this afternoon the sun had come out and it was hot – this is autumn weather.
Now on with my card. I had hoped to use this as my swap for our team stamp camp but my brayering wasn’t that hot – something I need to practice. Anyway this piece turned out OK and made it onto the card!
Hi there
At Stamp Camp we used the Note Card and Envelope (see page 162 of Annual Catalogue) so I thought I’d create something with them myself. It’s slightly smaller than a normal sized card but great for a quick ‘thank you’ card.
And here they are together
Supplies:
Stamp Sets – Petite Petals, Embellished Events, Label Something
Card Stock – Whisper White Note Card (and envelope), Pistachio Pudding, Basic Black
DSP – Sweet Sorbet
Ink – Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Black StazOn
Other – Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Scallop Tag Topper Punch, Petite Petals Punch, Artisan Punch, Word Window Punch, Postage Punch, Summer Starfruit Satin Ribbon, Rhinestones
Hi there
This is the last project to showcase from Stamp Camp. This one uses the set So Very Grateful and the watercolouring technique.
I really enjoy watercolouring and its made a lot easier when you heat emboss the image – gives you a solid line to stay inside :). We made a matching envelope using the Envelope Punch Board.
Supplies:
Stamp Set – So Very Grateful
Card Stock – Whisper White, Coastal Cabana
Ink – Real Red, Coastal Cabana
Other – Black Embossing Powder, Banner Punch, Blender Pens, Rhinestones, Envelope Punch Board
Hi there
Today’s post features products from the Retro Fresh Suite. One of our very talented demo’s – Ria – taught us these really cool 4 x 4″ cards. They could also be used on a scrapbook paper or framed for home decor. I now want to make a box for them using the Envelope Punch Board so I can give them away as a gift.
Stampin’ Up! have just released a new card kit 🙂 For $38.95 your will recieve the following kit which contains:
and the Best Of … Autumn
Hi there
Boy am I glad it’s Friday. It’s been a pretty full on week and I’m looking forward to a sleep in tomorrow morning.
While at camp Jacque gave us a challenge. We were give a card, envelope and some DSP plus some bits & pieces to share and we had to create a card within a certain time frame. We were also allowed to use what tools etc we had taken with us – and this is what I made. I found it really hard coming up with something in a short space of time!
Well I’d better go and finish my prep for tomorrow’s workshop then head to bed.
Hi there
This is the project Jacque taught using products from the Watercolour Suite. This is the first time I have sanded my DSP and what a cool effect. I wasn’t that keen on the ‘&’ embossing folder when I saw it but after using it over the weekend I think it will be in my next order (along with a few other products we used at camp!)
The banner at the bottom is vellum card stock which we heat embossed with white. The sentiment really stands out even though its white on white. I’ve just realised I forgot to take a photo of the inside so you’ll have to use your imagination! Using the Happy Watercolour set we stamped the flowers in Tangerine Tango on a piece of Whisper White.
Supplies:
Stamp Set – Happy Watercolour
Card Stock – Whisper White, Basic Grey, Silver Shimmer Paper, Vellum
Ink – Tangerine Tango, VersaMark
DSP – Watercolour Wonder
Other – Ampersand Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Rhinestones, Candy Dots, Banner Punch, Basic Metal Buttons, Bakers Twine, Sanding Block
Hi there
This is the other project I demonstrated and the ladies made at camp last weekend. It’s another project I saw on Dawn Olchefske’s blog.
Hi there
Last weekend was our team stamp camp in Rotorua. We had such a cool time together – pity it was only for a weekend.
I was one of the presenters and was first up on Friday night – eek – but it went really well. I think they all enjoyed my presentation and the projects they made. I based all my projects around the Kaleidoscope Suite which I LOVE.
The first one was an extended card using the Circle Thinlits Die.
Check back tomorrow for the third project I demonstrated.
HI there
Here we are on the final round of swaps. These were made by Andrea, Kristine, Jackie, Rhonda and Bernie.
Well this brings us to the end of the Occasions swaps. I hope you have been inspired by the creations from the Creative Inkers team.
I’m heading to bed shortly to try and catch up on the missed sleep from over the weekend. We had our team ‘stamp camp’ in Rotorua and it was SO much fun. I’ll be back soon with the pictures of the project I taught on Friday night along with the other projects we made.
Hi there
Back again with some more great creations. I really enjoy being part of our team swaps and seeing how the same stamp set can be used in different ways. The down side about swaps is that I receive cards using products I wasn’t planning on buying then fall in love with them and end up buying them. Oh well – that’s the life of a crafter.
Now on to the next round of projects:
