Stamp Camp – card challenge

By | February 28, 2014

Hi there

Boy am I glad it’s Friday.  It’s been a pretty full on week and I’m looking forward to a sleep in tomorrow morning.

While at camp Jacque gave us a challenge.  We were give a card, envelope and some DSP plus some bits & pieces to share and we had to create a card within a certain time frame.  We were also allowed to use what tools etc we had taken with us – and this is what I made.  I found it really hard coming up with something in a short space of time!

Well I’d better go and finish my prep for tomorrow’s workshop then head to bed.

Stamp Camp – Watercolour Suite

By | February 27, 2014

Hi there

This is the project Jacque taught using products from the Watercolour Suite.  This is the first time I have sanded my DSP and what a cool effect.  I wasn’t that keen on the ‘&’ embossing folder when I saw it but after using it over the weekend I think it will be in my next order (along with a few other products we used at camp!)

The banner at the bottom is vellum card stock which we heat embossed with white.  The sentiment really stands out even though its white on white.  I’ve just realised I forgot to take a photo of the inside so you’ll have to use your imagination!  Using the Happy Watercolour set we stamped the flowers in Tangerine Tango on a piece of Whisper White.

Supplies:
Stamp Set – Happy Watercolour
Card Stock – Whisper White, Basic Grey, Silver Shimmer Paper, Vellum
Ink – Tangerine Tango, VersaMark
DSP – Watercolour Wonder
Other – Ampersand Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Rhinestones, Candy Dots, Banner Punch, Basic Metal Buttons, Bakers Twine, Sanding Block

Stamp Camp – Tea Bag project

By | February 26, 2014

Hi there

This is the other project I demonstrated and the ladies made at camp last weekend.  It’s another project I saw on Dawn Olchefske’s blog.

This version holds two individually wrapped tea bags and a chocolate on the inside!
This is the second version I showed which holds 4 3×3 cards and envelopes.  You could also use Whittakers square chocolates in the pockets.
and here are the cards
Supplies:
Stamp Sets – Geometrical, Label Something, Embellished Events
Card Stock – Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush
Ink – Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush
DSP – Kaleidoscope
Other – Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Diagonal Plate, Small Oval Punch, 7/8″ and 1 1/4″ scallop Circle Punch, Hexagon Punch, Triangle Punch, Hexagon Hive Thinlit, 1″ Circle Punch

Stamp Camp project

By | February 25, 2014

Hi there

Last weekend was our team stamp camp in Rotorua.  We had such a cool time together – pity it was only for a weekend.

I was one of the presenters and was first up on Friday night – eek – but it went really well.  I think they all enjoyed my presentation and the projects they made.  I based all my projects around the Kaleidoscope Suite which I LOVE.

The first one was an extended card using the Circle Thinlits Die.

Next I showed them this cute little box made with half a sheet of A4 card stock.  This is one I found on Dawn Olchefske’s blog a couple of years ago and adapted to fit our A4 card stock.
I’m really loving the Naturals White Card Stock (found on page 156).  You can create your own “Designer Card Stock” just by stamping your selected images on the card stock then create away.  This little box was of course filled with Whittakers mini slabs 🙂
Supplies:
Stamp Set – Geometrical, Perfect Pennants, Bring on the Cake
Card Stock – Bermuda Bay, Naturals White
Ink – Black StazOn, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay
DSP – Kaleidoscope
Other – Circle Thinlits Die, Circle Collection Framelits, Triangle Punch, Small Oval Punch, Banners Framelits Dies, Real Red and Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon

Check back tomorrow for the third project I demonstrated.

Occasions Team Swaps – #4

By | February 24, 2014

HI there

Here we are on the final round of swaps.  These were made by Andrea, Kristine, Jackie, Rhonda and Bernie.

Don’t you just love this last one?  It came ‘flat packed’ then we joined it together.  I’ll be using the contents of this box now that my hair is long enough to tie up.

Well this brings us to the end of the Occasions swaps.  I hope you have been inspired by the creations from the Creative Inkers team.

I’m heading to bed shortly to try and catch up on the missed sleep from over the weekend.  We had our team ‘stamp camp’ in Rotorua and it was SO much fun.  I’ll be back soon with the pictures of the project I taught on Friday night along with the other projects we made.

Occasions Team Swaps – #3

By | February 23, 2014

Hi there

Back again with some more great creations.  I really enjoy being part of our team swaps and seeing how the same stamp set can be used in different ways.  The down side about swaps is that I receive cards using products I wasn’t planning on buying then fall in love with them and end up buying them.  Oh well – that’s the life of a crafter.

Now on to the next round of projects:

These projects are from Julia, Nadia, Rachael, Ria and Sally.  They’ve used Perfect Pennants, Banner Framelits, On Film Framelits, Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Simple Stems, Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder,Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Watercolour Wonder Designer Washi Tape, Naturals Chevron Ribbon and Gold Bakers Twine (hope I haven’t missed anything)

First up we have cards from Lisa, Irene, Debbie, Carol Ann, Angela and Sharon.  Thank you ladies for being part of this swap.

These cards use the following products – Happy Watercolor, Peaceful Petals, Simple Stems, Fresh Prints Paper Stack, Banner Framelits, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Wtercolour Wonder DSP

Sale-A-Bration Team Swaps #4

By | February 20, 2014

Hi there

I love making 3D items and these are ones you could easily recreate yourself.

The first two projects were made using the MDS digital download product on page 17 of the catalogue.  Both Rachael and Lisa have made their swaps hybrid which means they’re a combination of digitally printed product plus traditional ‘hands on’ products eg punches, stamps, brads etc.

Rachael, Lisa, Sam and Ann – I’m sure I’ll be recreating these – thanks.

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed the last couple of days projects.  Next up will be the swaps I got showcasing products from the new Occasions catalogue.

While I have been showing these projects created by others I have been busy creating myself – the only problem is I can’t show you anything yet.  You’ll have to wait until after the weekend as I’m presenting them at our team stamp camp 🙂

Sale-A-Bration Team Swap #3

By | February 19, 2014

Hi there

I hope you’re enjoying seeing what the team created using products from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.

This first card uses the Good as Gold card kit.  The kit comes with 8 card bases, envelope liners and envelopes plus a sheet of gold foil tags, a sheet of printed die-cut tags, 8 pieces of gold elastic cord and 8 pieces of Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine.  Now you could make up eight cards as per the instructions or you could do as Jackie has and use bits of the kit to create you own card.

Well that’s the last of the cards  – thanks Jackie, Narelle, Ria and Sharon.

Tomorrow’s post will feature the 3D items we received.

Sale-A-Bration Team Swaps #2

By | February 18, 2014

Hi there

Back again with round two of the Sale-A-Bration swaps I recieved last month.

These four cards have one item in common – the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The good news is that this embossing folder will be carrying over to the 2014-2015 annual catalogue 🙂

Thanks Rosie, Andrea, Angela and Bernie

I’ve got one more round of cards and a round of 3D items still to show.

Sale-A-Bration Team Swaps #1

By | February 17, 2014

Hi there

Last month I participated in two team swaps – the first one was using products from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.  So I thought I’d start showing you what my fellow team mates created – hopefully these projects will inspire you.

First up we have cards from Carol Ann, Kathryn, Kristine and Nadia

Check back tomorrow for more creations

We love what we do & love to share with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors. We also share what we love in our ESAD Demonstrator community, through swaps, challenges, sharing knowledge, ideas & friendship, and we’re always there to help and support each other.

So if you’re a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand, then please feel free to leave me a comment with your Email address and I’ll contact you with information on how to join our wonderful group.

For my project I have created a box (filled with chocolates no less) and a matching card using the Geometrical stamp set, matching Triangle Punch and the Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I’m in love with this set as you may have already seen on some of previous posts.
Here are some close ups of my project:

For the box I randomly stamped the images on Naturals White card stock to create my own ‘designer card stock’ 🙂  The box is made using one sheet of A4 card stock.
Supplies:
Stamp Set – Geometrical, Bring on the Cake
Card Stock – Naturals White, Bermuda Bay
Ink – Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush
Other – Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Triangle Punch, Clear Embossing Powder, Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dots
(I’ve had a few requested for the instructions to make this box – I will try and put a tutorial together in the coming weeks.)

Team Swap Thank You cards

By | February 15, 2014

Hi there

Last month I organised two team swaps – it was heaps of fun.  Some of the ladies sent me ‘thank you’ cards so I thought I’d share those with you.

Thank you ladies I really appreciated receiving these.  Check back next week to see the swap cards for Sale-A-Bration and the Occasions catalogues.
Now tomorrow we are having another ESAD Blog Hop so make sure you check out my blog after midday – I’m sure you’ll be in for a treat.

Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad

By | February 14, 2014

Hi there

Not only is today Valentines Day but it is my parents 55th wedding anniversary – Happy Anniversary Mum & Dad.

Today’s card is one I made for Dad to give to Mum – can’t have him giving her a bought one now can we 🙂

The new ‘gold’ range of products in the new Occasions catalogue were perfect for my creation.  I adhered my piece of vellum to Whisper White card stock with glue dots to give it a bit of weight then adhered it to the card base.  This also meant I was able to wrap the gold baker’s twine around the vellum piece without any ends showing.
Mum really loved the card and the one we gave which I blogged here – I couldn’t mention anything in the post in case she saw.
Supplies:

Stamp Set – Perfect Pennants
Card Stock – Whisper White, Gold Foil Sheets, Red Glimmer Paper
Other – Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, Gold Baker’s Twine, Banner Framelits Die, Gold Embossing Powder, Glue Dots, Dimensionals
