On Holiday!

By | February 3, 2011

We are off on holiday on Saturday morning to the South Island for two weeks.  I have (hopefully) got some posts happening for while I’m away.

Back on line after the 21st February.

Wedding Anniversary #2

By | February 2, 2011

Hi

Here is the second of my wedding anniversary cards.  This one is for our good friends who celebrate their special day tomorrow.

I finally got round to using Shimmer Paint.  I followed instructions from Michelle Dyson (5 October entry) to get the sparkly effect on the card base.  Her instructions are easy to follow & I loved the finished result.  Thanks Michelle.

For the inside of the card I used the owl from Fox & Friends.

Card Supplies:
Stamp Sets:  Fox & Friends, A Word for You
Card stock:  Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence (retired), Old Olive
Ink:  Rich Razzleberry
DSP:  Cottage Wall, Windsor Knot (both retired)
Other:  Owl Punch, Bird Punch, Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder

Wedding Anniversary #1

Hi there

Well the weather has been horrible in Auckland today but that means a great day for crafting.

As mentioned before I have 5 friends with wedding anniversaries in the next few weeks so I thought I’d better make a start on creating cards for them all.

Here is my first one – it’s a 4″ card.  I’m still trying to use up my retired paper supplies so made the whole owl out of paper.  Instead of using all the pieces for the eyes I have gone with some moving eyes just to add a bit of fun.

Supplies:
Stampset:  A Word for You
Cardstock:  Rose Red & Handsome Hunter
DSP: Windsor Knot & Tea Party (both retired)
Other:  Two-Step Bird punch, Two-Step Owl punch, Heart to Heart punch, Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, Wobbly eyes

Wedding Anniversary

Hi

Today is my 9th wedding anniversary :).  Phil and I never work on our wedding anniversary or birthday and funnily enough we share both occasions (yes we have the same birthday).  Today I made breakfast which is unusual as he does most of the cooking.  I made French Toast with berries & passionfruit curd – very yum.  I then spent most of the morning downloading the UStamp with Dawn & Friends 2010 Blowout projects as my membership came through last night!  We had a lovely lunch out at Eiffel En Eden.  A very relaxing & enjoyable day.

Here is the card that I made for Phil.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Loads of Love
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze (textured)
Ink:  Jet Black StazOn
Markers:  Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Real Red
Other:  Dimensional Magic

I will be posting a few wedding anniversary cards over the next few weeks (5 before the end of February) so I’ll have to get my thinking cap on for some variations.

My first blog post

By | January 16, 2011

Hi there

After many months of visting everyone else’s blogsites I have finally got my own one!

The first card I am posting is using the sweet treat cups.  My friends little boy is turning 5 tomorrow and I’m sure he’ll like this.  I made this card using the Magnetic Movers & Shapers.  I find it is easier to get the hole for the cup where you want it rather than using the punch.

Supplies:
Stamp set:  A Little Treat & Good Neighbors
Card Stock:  Certainly Celery & Whisper White
Ink:  Tempting Turquoise
Markers:  Real Red & Old Olive
Other:  Magnetic Movers & Shapers, Holiday Windows and Big Shot
