I’ve decided to keep CASEing (Copy And Share Everything) the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalogue, this time inspired by the card on page 38 featuring the Scalloped Blooms Bundle. I stayed fairly true to the original design but changed the background to one of the prints from the Paper Medley Designer Series Paper Pack.

I often ask myself “Which die did they used for this card?”. If you’ve ever wondered the same thing, here are the dies I used for my card.
The large Basic White scalloped circle was cut using the third largest die. The flowers were all die cut from Barely Blush Cardstock – the two larger flowers use the second smallest stitched die, while the three smaller flowers use the smallest die.
When I first got these dies, I wasn’t quite sure what the die with the six ellipse shapes was for. It turns out they are leaves that transform the scalloped circles into flowers! I’ve cut mine from Hydrangea Hue Cardstock, proving that leaves don’t always have to be green. One of the joys of card making is being able to use whatever colours you like, so don’t be afraid to step outside the box.

The dies also include some great shapes for tags and sentiments. For my sentiment, I used the light side of Peaceful Pine Two-Tone Cardstock.
The larger flower centres were die cut from Gold Foil using the circle die included in the set. The catalogue sample also used these circles on the smaller flowers, but I felt they were a little too big, so I used the small circle from the Gears & Textures Dies instead. I think they are more in proportion with the smaller flowers. A Linen Thread bow and a few embellishments complete the card.
CASE-ing the catalogue is a great way to get creating, and remember, you don’t have to copy a project exactly. Changing the colours, papers or even a small detail is all it takes to make the design your own.
Until next time …
