Hi there
As soon as I saw this week’s sketch I knew exactly what I’d do. I had one more stamp set that hadn’t seen ink and it fitted perfectly (well I think so).
It’s called Summer Silhouettes and it’s a two step set. This allowed me to heat emboss the two parts of the flower in different colours. Here in NZ we have a tree called the Pohutukawa and it has a beautiful red flower and comes out at Christmas time. It’s often called the New Zealand Christmas Tree and this stamp reminds me of it.
Instead of using ribbon I’ve stamped the border stamp with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder then cut around the design – another way to use your stamps. I haven’t put a sentiment on it yet as I’m not sure what I’ll use it for.
Supplies:
Stamp – Summer Silhouettes
Card Stock – Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Other – Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green Embossing Powder, Apothecary Framelits
Pop on over to Try Stampin on Tuesday and give this sketch a go – we’d love you to join us.
Have a great day – the sun is shining
Thanks for bringing a ray of sunshine to us with your tree explanation. Great job and love the banding.
Such a beautiful card! I've never seen the tree you mentioned in person, but I just looked at a photo online and wow, it's gorgeous! Your card's image and colors remind me very much of that tree. What a lovely card!
Nicely done Paula!
