Hi there
Check out this weeks ‘Weekly Deals’ – some great deals to be had :).
Hi there
Glad you can join us for another Creative Inkers Blog Hop. This blog hop showcases products from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. For every $110 NZD that you spend between now and 31 March 2015 your get to choose FREE product from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.
If you’ve been following the blog hop you will have come from Rachael Knight’s blog or you may have just joined my page. If you get ‘lost’ there’s a list of all the blogs at the bottom of this post. Now on with my project.
This first card is one I taught at my card class last week and uses four Sale-A-Bration products – Irresistably Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), Big Day Stamp Set, Blendabilities and Best Year Ever Accessory Pack.
I love this DSP – it’s white glossy paper with different patterns that you can colour in a variety of techniques. For these cards I’ve used ink and sponges but you could use daubers, a brayer or a spritzer to get different effects. I sponged three colours on randomly then used a tissue to wipe away any excess ink. It gives the effect of the emboss resist technique. No two cards will be the same.
For the second card I still used sponges but applied the colours light to dark to light to give a blended look. I’ve also used another of the patterns – quite a different look for this card.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my creations. Check back next Monday 26th January at the same time for our next blog hop which will showcase products from the Occasions Catalogue – now you’ll be heading to Sally Williams’ blog

Hi there
Today Phil and I are celebrating our 13th Wedding Anniversary with a long weekend away in Raglan on the west coast of the North Island. Happy Anniversary Babe – thanks for being such an amazing husband – love you heaps.
Here is the card I made for him which is also the card I taught at last weeks card class. We had a bit of fun making this as every time he walked through the lounge the girls quickly turned the card over in case he saw it 🙂
The ladies had wanted to make another ‘card in a box’ card and I found a really good tutorial for a rectangle card on Diane Barnes blog – check it out here. With this design you can get two cards out of an A4 sheet of card stock and it fits into our standard envelopes. Thanks for Di for sharing this with us.
Do you like the paper I’ve used? It’s from the new paper stack – Stacked with Love – which is in the new Occasions Catalogue. I’m not really a ‘hearts’ girl but this paper range is really lovely and I love all the paper designs. It has black images on one side and red tones on the other and at NZD$14.50 it’s really good value. You get 48 sheets per pack – 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.
In my clean up over the holidays I found some Googly eyes so thought I’d add them to this project – they make cute owls don’t you think? I’ve used one of my ‘go to’ sets for the sentiments – Memorable Moments. This is such a versatile set even though it’s only numbers and a few sentiments. If you don’t own this set I’d say have a re-think 🙂
Supplies:
Stamp – Pictogram Punches, Memorable Moments
Card Stock – Real Red, Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White
DSP – Stacked with Love Paper Stack
Ink – Real Red
Other – Real Red 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, Owl Builder Punch, Bird Builder Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Hearts Framelits, Label Card Thinlits, Googly eyes (non SU)
Well I hope you enjoy your day because I will be enjoying mine 🙂
Check back tonight at 8:00pm for our Creative Inkers Blog Hop showcasing projects using products from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

Hi there
Well it’s back to work for me – my summer break is over 🙁 and I’ve just realised I haven’t done a blog post for almost a week! I’ve been busy in the craft room creating – now I just need to make the time to show you what I’ve been creating. Make yourself a note to check back next Monday night at 8:00pm as we have another Creative Inkers Blog Hop showcasing products from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.
Last week one of the ladies I used to work with had a birthday and this is the card I made. I’ve CASED it (Copy And Share Everything) from the Sale-A-Bration brochure which is out now. Check out page 12. I’ve changed the colours and done a few modifications but this is what guided me
If you’re in New Zealand I hope you’re enjoying the beautiful summer weather.
Hi there
There are so many great products in the new Occasions Catalogue – my wish list is a long one! After having a quick look through the catalogue I returned to page 15. I think this set is so cute so here’s my first creation with ‘From the Herd’. I have more ideas in my head for this set – I just need the time to sit and create.

DSP – All is Calm
Other – Label Card Thinlit, Labels Framelits, Gift Box Punch Board, Silver Satin Ribbon
Hi there
And Happy New Year – I hope your had a great New Years’ Eve and the New Year is off to a good start. We had a very relaxing NYE which was really nice – watched the ‘Lego’ movie :). Yesterday we went for a picnic to Woodbridge Gardens in Coatsville – the gardens were beautiful and cover 3 hectares. While we were there Phil took a photo of me so that I could finally update my profile photo – the last one was taken back in 2011 when my hair was shorter.
Today’s project is one I created last month but ran out of time to show – note to self – be more organised for 2015!
Bloom with Hope is a Hostess only set (pg 240 of the Annual Catalogue) so if you’d like to own this set for yourself why not contact me to arrange a time for a workshop. There are also added benefits for the next couple of months as Sale-A-Bration starts from Tuesday 6 January through till 31 March. Check back on Tuesday for more information regarding Sale-A-Bration.

It’s a beautiful day here in Auckland so this evening we are heading to my favourite beach – Piha. Have a wonderful evening.
Hi there
I hope your holidays are going well and you’ve had some relaxation time.
My final card to show you for 2014 is one I taught at this months card class. It’s for my friend who has a birthday today – Happy Birthday Karenina – I hope you’re having a great day with your lovely family.
It uses one of my favourite flower sets – Flower Shop. Instead of stamping on card stock we stamped the flowers on Vellum Card stock with white embossing powder and coloured in from the back using a dauber. This isn’t my idea – I CASED it from Rebecca Borkowski. Why reinvent the wheel. I did change a few things to suit the stamps I had.
Hi there
We had a great day out yesterday walking part of the Rail Trail through the Karangahake Gorge. It was such a beautiful day with heaps of people out biking the trail. After our walk we visited a nearby waterfall then headed to Kaiaua for fish and chips – yummy.
Today’s card was for a friend who had her birthday a couple of weeks ago – we had about four birthdays within a couple of days.
I wanted to use vellum for the Curvy Keepsake box so kept the theme running on the card as well. I adhered the vellum to a piece of Whisper White card stock before adhering to the car base.
Supplies:
Stamp – Another Great Year (retired)
Card Stock – Brushed Silver, Whisper White
Ink – Wisteria Wonder
Other – Fancy Foil Silver Vellum, Clear Embossing Powder, Dimensionals, Wisteria Wonder Blendabilities, Curvy Keepsake Framelit
Hi there
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas – ours was very relaxed spending time with the family. The tree and all the Christmas decorations are now packed away and I’ve made a start on cleaning my craft space ready for the New Year. I started on the cupboard and found a plastic bag with 9 bags of Whittakers mini slabs so I packed them into my ‘chocolate’ container – they ‘just’ managed to fit in. On going back to the cupboard I found another plastic bag with another 9 packets of mini slabs!! I think I’d better stop buying chocolate and start making some projects to use them up. Don’t worry the use by date isn’t till July 2015 :).
Now on with the card – a friends daughter turned two earlier this month and this is the card and basket I made.
Enjoy your holidays
Hi there
Merry Christmas everyone. For those of you with children – I hope you weren’t woken too early 🙂
Over the last 25 days our neighbours two little boys (4 and 2) have been coming up each night to open an Advent Calendar box. It has been so much fun watching them as they take turns each night to open a box and see what’s inside – chocolate :). As they come up the drive you can hear ‘my turn tonight’ – they are so cute.
And here is the finished calendar:
