A couple of weeks ago it was our friends 32nd wedding anniversary and this is the card I made for them.
Hi there
I hope you had a good New Years Eve and are ready for 2014.
I got a bit behind in my blogging last year so my New Years Resolution is “to blog more often”. I will try and blog on a more regular basis so to start off here’s my first one for the year (with a card from last year).
Yesterday was a friends birthday and here is her card. I love this stamp and recreated one of my earlier cards but used a different sentiment stamp.
I liked the border of this stamp from the set Hello, Lovely but the words inside didn’t really go with the card so I used my Midnight Muse marker and inked just the border. I then chose another favourite senitment set (Made for You which is retired) and stamped that inside using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.
Supplies:
Stamp Set – Blooming with Kindness, Hello, Lovely, Made for You (retired)
Card Stock – Midnight Muse, Whisper White
Ink/Markers – Midnight Muse, Pool Party, VersaMark
Other – Vellum Card Stock, Clear Embossing Powder, Delicate Designs Folder,Large Scallop Edgelit, Midnight Muse Satin Ribbon, Glue Dots, Decorative Label Punch, Blender Pen
Hi there
Well here we are on the last day of 2013. It’s been a year of change – some good and some not so good. The positives are I attended my first convention in May and had a ball, I started a new job in July and love it and we paid off our mortgage :). One of the not so good things were we had three deaths in the family – the hardest one being my cousin at aged 60. It has her little grandsons 5th birthday earlier this month and this is the card I made for Mum & Dad to send him.
Hi there
Well today is the first day of my holidays and I’m loving it. I am already starting to feel relaxed. Yesterday afternoon we headed out to Kariotahi to catch up with Phil’s relatives that are over from the States. It was so nice to see them again.
Here are that last of my Christmas cards for 2013. Both these cards have been CASED from Deena Boos – I kept the first card pretty much the same as hers although I added a bow (love my bows tied with my bow maker) instead of tying a knot.
Supplies:
Card One
Stamp – Tag It
Card Stock – Gumball Green, Whisper White
Ink – Cherry Cobbler
DSP – Season of Style Paper Stack
Other – Gumball Green Satin Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Chalk Talk Framelits
Card Two
Stamp – Tag It, Gorgeous Grunge
Card Stock – Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink – Cherry Cobbler
Other – Season of Style Washi Tape, Chalk Talk Framelits, Dimensionals
Well only two more sleeps till Christmas 🙂
Hi there
With Christmas just around the corner I thought I’d better blog two cards in the one post otherwise I’m never going to show you everything before THIS Christmas. I think my New Years resolution will be to blog on a more regular basis.
Now I’m not sue who the original creator was of this layout as I’ve seen so many on the web – but whoever it was ‘thank you’ for such a cool use of the Mosaic Madness set and punch. I used my colour coach to decide which ‘greens’ I’d use.
Supplies:
Stamp – Mosaic Madness, Wishing You
Card Stock – Whisper White, Midnight Muse
Ink – Gumball Green, Real Red Midnight Muse, Silver Metallic Encore
Other – Mosaic Punch, Silver 1/8″ Ribbon, Rhinestones
We’ve had beautiful weather this weekend – it’s been really hot. This afternoon we had big crashes of thunder but no rain.
Well this is the last week of work for 2013 – I hope you all have a great week.
Hi there
Dont miss out! Last year many products sold out in the first few hours. To order shop through my Online Shop here. Clearance Rack items will be posted and removed based on inventory levels so it will pay to check back regularly for new updates All Clearance Rack items will be listed on the online store.
Hi there
Some of you may remember that this time last year Stampin’ Up! had a fabulous sale of retired products – well they’re doing it again starting tomorrow – Tuesday 10 December. Check back tomorrow morning for more details of what’s on sale (some things will be heavily discounted).
As these items are ‘while stocks last’ you will need to be in quick to avoid missing out. Last year things sold out really quickly. To avoid missing out I would suggest you set up an online account now in my store so you can order directly. Just click on the YellowBear underneath the ‘Shop Now’ button on the left handside of my blog or click here. You can email me if you want but I can’t guarantee that when I place my order on Wednesday 11th stock will still be available.
If you have any questions about setting up an account just give me a call.
Hi there
Yesterday it was a fellow demo’s birthday. Now I have never me Helen in person but I’ve chatted with her on our FB demo site and I wanted to send her a card for her birthday. Being a Stampin’ Up! demo means I get to meet so many people who also share the love of papercrafting and it’s great to be able to share their special day with a handmade card. I hope you had a great day Helen and hope to meet you in person soon.

Hi there
Here we are at the beginning of the last month for 2013! I must be getting older as the years just seem to be flying by. It’s hard to believe there are only three more weeks of work till the Christmas break. We have some family arriving from the US and Europe and I’m looking forward to spending time with them again.
Today’s card is a remake of one I did last year but using this years papers from the Season of Style Paper Stack. I’ve really enjoyed using these papers for projects and I still have more to share.
To create this card I cut 12 1″ squares and stuck them on a piece of copy paper and ran it through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die, trimmed to the perforation and then ran it through the Big Shot with my favourite Embossing Folder – Square Lattice folder. I then cut another Top Note from Cherry Cobbler card stock and adhered the two together before adding the sentiment and bow.
Supplies:
Stamp – Embellished Events
Card Stock – Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Naturals White
Ink – Cherry Cobbler
DSP – Season of Style DSP Paper Stack
Other – Top Note Die, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, 1″ Square Punch
I’ll be back soon with more Christmas creations.
Hi there
At the beginning of the month we held our Christmas Extravaganza event for the Creative Inkers Team and this is the card I designed and taught (along with my good friend and fellow demo Heather). We had around 80 ladies and one young gentleman attend – so quite a number.
Hi there
Today’s card is one I made ages ago which I CASED from Mary Fish. It’s a real Clean & Simple card and I love it.
I’m really trying to use my DSP and not leave it uncut until the last month and then have heaps of retired paper! This paper is from the Birthday Basics pack and has some of my favourite colours in it – Raspberry Ripple and Bermuda Bay. I’ve used my markers to colour in the image – just remember to ‘huff’ on it before you stamp it down to moisten the ink.
I have found this stamp set so versatile – I think it will be one I’ll hold on to.
Supplies:
Stamp – Wishing You
Card Stock – Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White
DSP – Birthday Basics
Markers – Bermuda Bay, Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple
Other – Rhinestone, Dimensionals, Raspberry Ripple Satin Ribbon
Hi there
I promise this will be the last Pop n Cuts card I show you for awhile.
Friends of ours son turned 5 last week – a big school boy now – and this is the card I made for him. He’s not really into anything in particular at the moment (not like his older and younger brother) so I thought I’d make him a ‘fun’ card.
Well I’ll be back soon with some Christmas cards to show you – dear I say it – it’s only 5 weeks till Christmas. I think I’d better make a start as I have a few gifts that need to be in the overseas post soon!
See you soon.
Hi there
Last week it was my nephews birthday and here’s the card and gift set I made. No present is complete from me without some form of chocolate! Inside the box are some mini Toblerone bars 🙂
The card front and box are made using the textured 12 x 12 card stock. I embossed the front of the card with the Alphabet Press Embossing Folder then lightly sanded it – it leaves the card feeling like suede.
The ‘actual’ gift is a shopping voucher for clothes which he’s going to redeem once exams are over. The voucher holder is one I saw on Jackie Topa’s blog and uses the Envelope Punch Board to create the front closure. I decided to use Washi tape to hold the front pocket secure. It wasn’t until I’d stuck it down that I realised there were numbers on the tape!
Supplies:
Stamp – Sketched Birthday, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Label Something
Card Stock – 12 x 12 Textured Real Red and Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Naturals White
DSP – Summer Smooches (retired)
Ink – Black StazOn, Real Red
Markers – Real Red, Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight
Other – Pop n Cuts and Label Die, Deco Labels Collection, Bitty Banners Framelits, Large Oval Punch, Aristan Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Envelope Punch Board, Early Espresso Bakers Twine, Epic Day This and That Washi Tape, Dimensionals
Wow – what a lot of products I used 🙂
