Hi there
Just a quick post tonight as I need to pack & tidy up the house as we are going away for an extended Labour Weekend to New Plymouth ๐
I am in need of masculine birthday cards at the moment so have used this layout for one. I still find it hard doing masculine cards as I don’t have many stamps sets that are suitable.
I’ve made my tools using shrink paper – they are so much fun to make.
Supplies:
Stamps – Totally Tools, Bring on the Cake, On Your Birthday, Woodgrain
Card Stock – Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze
Ink/Markers – Early Espresso, Cajun Craze
Other – Curly Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Scallop Border Punch, 1″ Circle Punch
Shrink Paper, Coloured Pencils, Baja Breeze Ribbon
Well I hope you all have a wonderful Labour Weekend and go the AB’s – we’ll be cheering from New Plymouth ๐
Catch you back Wednesday
Paula
Hi there
The year seems to be zooming by – this time in 10 weeks and it’s Christmas Eve! I have made a few Christmas cards which I will hopefully get to post this coming week.
For this week’s TST challenge I’ve gone with a masculine theme – one of the guys at work is celebrating his birthday tomorrow. I was a bit stutmped to start with – trying a few options with DSP scraps and finally settling with one of my favourite retired papers – Windsor Knot. I love this colour combination.
Supplies:
Stamp – Bring on the Cake
Card Stock – So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
DSP – Windsor Knot (retired)
Markers – Old Olive, So Saffron, Chocolate Choip
I have been busy preparing my project for the next session over at Stampin Fun and Friends – Christmas Dreams. This session runs from 8th November to 22nd November. We had a great time in the last session and would love to have you join us. If you are interested in joining click here for more details and to sign up.
It’s a big weekend of rugby here in Auckland – Wales vs France and Australia vs New Zealand in the semi finals. Go the AB’s.
Have a great weekend.
Paula
Hi there
Here is the second project that I designed for Autumn Artistry. It’s a mini photo album using the 6 x 6 page protectors and a matching gift card. I fell in love with French Foliage while making this project. Here’s the album:
Hi there
Well it’s a beautiful day in Auckland – it really feels like Spring has arrived. There are more and more trees now with leaves so that’s got to be a good sign.
This weeks challenge over at Try Stampin on Tuesday is a good one. I’ve flipped it over so that I could trial a new card style I saw over at Splitcoast.
Here is the layout:
and this is what I created – it’s called a double Z fold
Supplies:
Stamp – Fox & Friends, A Word for You
Card Stock – Pretty in Pink, So Saffron
Ink – Melon Mambo
DSP – Tea Party (retired)
Other – Melon Mambo Ribbon (retired), 2 3/8″ Scallop Punch, 1 3/4″ Circle Punch, Diomensionals
I hope you all have a great weekend. I have my first team training session tomorrow morning. We’re doing swaps (Christmas theme) so check back tomorrow to see what I received – can’t wait.

Hi there
Well here is my first project for Stampin Fun and Friends. I love making 3D projects so really enjoyed this one.
I’ve used the bleaching technique to create my own background. Most of the boxes I make end up containing chocolate ๐ and these are no different. The tall one holds Whittakers Sante bars, the middle one holds mini Peanut Slabs and the small one holds Chocolate Squares.
If you’d like to make this project let me know and I can book a class.
Have a good week.
Paula
Hi there
Well it’s been a good day – got the washing done, managed to get some weeding done and had time for some crafting – life is good.
Well over at Stampin Fun and Friends we have had a number of challenges – sketch, colour and tag challenge so I thought I’d show you what I made.
Here is the sketch challenge:
and here’s my card:
I’ve also made a little box to go with the card using the Petite Pockets die – I am loving this die.
Here is the colour challenge:
And here is my take on it:
Wow – can you believe it we’re up to number 34! I’ve been doing these challenges every week since I found the site (back at #5). I so love the layouts that CherylAnn gives us. Some weeks they come to me quickly and others not so quick.
For this weeks challenge I’ve used it for a sympathy card. These are not easy cards to do. My girlfriends Mother-in-law died unexpectedly during the week and I wanted to send a card to them to let them know we’re thinking of them.
Hi
Here’s a quick post with another project I’ve re-created. This one is from Amy another Kiwi designer.
I’ve changed the colour scheme from the autumn tones to match the card I made here. My friend went to Rarotonga on Monday (work/play). She doesn’t like flying so thought I’d make her a gift and include some Minties – ‘it’s moments like these you need Minties’. Hopefully she enjoyed her flight!
Here’s my re-creation. You can see the original design over on Amy’s blog – thanks Amy for a great project.
There’s still time for you to join us and get the tutorials so why not click here to register.
Supplies:
Card Stock – Basic Black, Basic Grey, Real Red
DSP – Brights Pattern Stack – Tempting Turquoise
Other – Acetate, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, 1/2″ Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon
Have a great day.
Paula
Hi there
Just a quick post tonight as I’m feeling a bit jaded – Daylight Saving always seems to take a few days to adjust to.
As part of our ‘goodie’ bag for stamp camp we all received the A la Carte stamp ‘Something for Christmas’ – so I thought I’d use it on this weeks challenge. I know it seems early to be doing Christmas cards but I really like this stamp and wanted a little ‘play’.
I’ve turned the below layout to a vertical view to suit the stamp:
Supplies:
Stamp – Something for Christmas
Card Stock – Old Olive, Real Red, Very Vanilla
Markers – Real Red, Old Olive, Bashful Blue
DSP – Dashing (retired)
Other – Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Glitter, Dimensionals
Well I’m off to bed – catch you back here soon.
Paula
Hi
Here is the second project I’ve recreated from this session of Stampin Fun and Friends. This project was created by Tracey Old – another Kiwi. It’s a gift wallet & card. Inside the wallet are two pockets – one for the card and one for cash!
This project has come at the right time for me – it’s my nephews birthday this week. Thanks Tracey for a great project.
Supplies:
Stamps – Starring You
Card Stock – Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight & Early Espresso
DSP – Just Add Cake
Ink – Baja Breeze, Daffodil Delight
Other – 1 3/8″ & 1 3/4″ Circle Punches, Small Star Punch, Twine, Dimensionals
If you’d like to join us at Stampin Fun and Friends click here to register.
Have a great weekend.

Hi
I’ve had a GREAT weekend crafting making 13 projects in total (then coming home and creating some more!).
Here are the final three projects we made:
And here we are at work:
A big thank you to Jacque for a very enjoyable weekend. It was great to catch up with friends from last camp and make new friends.
I’ll be back later with another project from Stampin Fun and Friends.
Paula
Hi there
It’s a great day to be a Kiwi – the AB’s bet the French and the Mighty Vodafone Warriors bet the Melbourne Storm and are into the final ๐
Well I had a great day yesterday creating 7 projects – I can’t seem to pick my favourite as they were all great and ones that can be done again. Leave me a comment and let me know which one you like.
Hi
Just a quick post as I am heading back to Jacque’s for Stamp Camp. Last night we made 3 projects:
The first project was covering a note pad (for our wish list!) and personalising a pen with DSP. I love this paper. The second project was the gift voucher on the far left using the new A-La-Carte stamp ‘Something for Christmas’. The last project was the card in the middle using the masking technique. I think you will see more projects using this stamp.
Well I’m off now for a fun filled day – I hope you enjoy your day as much as I will be.
Catch you back later with more projects.
Paula
