Father’s Day Card – August Card Class

By | August 11, 2014

Hi there

Just a quick post before I head off babysitting (and prepping for my team swap).

Here are the two cards we made last week at my card class.  This months theme was Father’s Day (which is Sunday 7th September here in NZ) and a card for a teenager.

I saw a card using strips of DSP  here and thought it would go well for a masculine card – here is what we created:

This card has lots of new products – card stock, DSP, punch and framelits.
The second card we made is great for a teenage girl.  I saw a similar card on Pinterest but it didn’t have a name so I can’t give credit directly – but thanks to whoever came up with this idea.

This also uses new products – ‘Hey You’ stamp set and Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

Supplies:
Stamp Set – Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Card Stock – Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Gold Foil
DSP – Moonlight Paper Stack
Other – Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack, Little Letters Framelits, Dimensionals, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch

Stamp Set – Hey You, Mixed Bunch
Card Stock – Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink – Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe
Other – Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Project Life Corner Punch, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

'Hey You' – that's the stamp set you keep making me want, isn't it Paula?! I have resisted so far but for how much longer who knows! Super cute cards on your blog as usual!
