Happy Anniversary – 17 years

By | January 19, 2019

Hi there

Today Phil and I are celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary :).  According to Mr Google the gift for 17 years is furniture so I thought I’d use ‘furniture’ as my theme for his card.  Now you might think – what are you going to create with that in mind.  Straight away I thought of Seasonal Layers Framelits which has what we in New Zealand call a Cap Cod chair (I think the US call them Adirondack chairs).

I then had to think how to ‘display’ my chairs – so grabbed the Waterfront set and got stamping my scene.  The ‘water’ is stamped with Pool Party and the ‘sand’ is done with Crumb Cake.  To give some depth to the scene I added the palm trees – trunks stamped in Early Espresso and greenery with Old Olive.

The drinks table is die cut from a scrap of Wood Texture DSP I had and is the bottom bit of the chair.  The drinks are stamped with Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lime Twist.

To make the card a bit more romantic I added the small heart die from the Apron Builder Framelits in Real Red and the card base is Real Red.  The ‘Happy Anniversary’ sentiment is from one of my ‘go to’ sets – Beautiful Bouquet and is stamped in Memento Black.

I also took a photo with ‘the Bears’ as they were the inspiration for the colour of the chairs 🙂

Well I’d better sign off and go and get my ‘glad rags’ on as we’re heading out for dinner tonight to celebrate.

Until next time …
