Hi there
I’m officially on holiday for the Christmas/New Year break 🙂 I’m looking forward to two weeks off – and no alarm going off at 6am 🙂
Today’s cards carry on with the Night in Bethlehem stamp set and coordinating dies. In my last post I shared a Z fold card that required cutting two sets of the Bethlehem scene but didn’t use all of one of the scenes. Well this is what I created with my ‘left over’ Bethlehem. I had made two of the Z fold cards and had two left over pieces so I created a Circle Window card and an Oval Window card.
Using the Layering Circle/Oval dies I cut the desired size from a piece of Whisper White card stock (10cm x 14.3cm) and added a frame using the next size up of the dies. The sentiment is stamped in Merry Merlot. To create my night sky I sponged a piece of Whisper White with Night of Navy then stamped my stars in Crushed Curry before adhering my Bethlehem scene. I had a bit of a play around to make sure my scene was in the correct position for the cut out circle/oval overlay.
Once the scene has been put together it’s now time to assemble the card. I found the easiest way was to put adhesive (I used Snail) on the back of the Whisper White around the hole and then position the scene in place. Adhere the Whisper White card front to the Merry Merlot base, adhere the star which has been die cut from Gold Foil and then add Mary and Joseph off to the side. On my card insert I stamped the Shepherd in the bottom right hand corner.
Well it’s not long till Christmas – I still have a couple more Christmas cards to share with you so check back again tomorrow.
Until then …
