Two Challenges in One

By | November 17, 2012

Hi there

It’s a lovely wet day here in Auckland – great crafting weather 🙂

Over at Stampin Fun and Firends CherylAnn has set another challenge – this time to use a big snowflake on a card or 3D project.  I wasn’t going to enter as I don’t own any snowflake dies or stamps then remembered I still had Season of Joy which has a snowflake stamp (it’s not big but it will have to do).  So then I was trying to think what type of layout to use so I checked out some challenge sites.  I love this sketch from Mojo Monday and my card came together really quickly – would have been quicker if I’d looked in the rubbish bin first when trying to find my Bigshot multipurpose platform!!

Here’s a close up showing the bling on the snowflakes:
For the top snowflake I stamped it first with VersaMark then Marina Mist ink then added Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder – for the other one I just added Dazzling Diamonds after I’d embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder.
Supplies:
Stamp – Season of Joy (retired)
Card Stock – Whisper White, Marina Mist, Real Red
Ink – Marina Mist, Real Red
Other – Iridescent Ice, Clear Embossing Powder, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Scallop Trim Punch, 1 1/4″ and 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Pear Pizzaz Ribbon (retired)

Keep dry and have a great rest of the weekend.
